Art Yarn Spinning Class- Private, Virtual

Are you curious about learning to spin art yarn? Look no further, schedule a private, virtual spinning class with Heidi, owner and artist behind Dirty Girl Yarns. Heidi is a self taught spinner who LOVES combining texture and color to create one of a kind yarns. Here's your chance to sit with her and learn some tips and tricks.
Once you purchase the class, Heidi will reach out via email to discuss available dates and times AND send off a package of woolly fun fibers for you to use in your virtual session. 
Each session will last 90 minutes.

What's required:
A spinning wheel and general knowledge and proficiency of spinning basic yarn. It doesn't have to be perfect but it needs to hold together consistently! Heidi uses an Ashford Country Spinner II but you can use whatever wheel you have. Traditional wheels with traditional sized bobbins and orifices will absolutely work! They might be a little "fiddly" because wool locks and other fibers WILL get caught on the hooks or need to be pulled through the orifice. That's OK! 
 
Heidi will provide materials so you're working with the same fluffy stuff!
 
Patience is also mandatory! Adults are terrible at being BAD at something... This is a great opportunity to be bad at something at first. Just like learning anything else, spinning art yarn requires time, practice, and a positive outlook. One of the other keys is to slow down. There is no race. Creating art yarn requires active participation, split second decisions, mindfulness, playfulness, and curiosity!
 
Heidi will supply the wool and other materials to set you up for success!
 
A computer/ laptop/ tablet/ phone with camera and Zoom capabilities. Once you schedule your session with Heidi she'll send you a Zoom link for your class. You'll be able to see Heidi and her wheel, dissect the package of fiber she sent you, and ask all the questions while you spin together!
